North Island Zine Library & Creative Workstation
Welcome to the North Island Zine Library and Workstation, a creative hub hosted by the Comox Valley Lifelong Learning Centre for artists, writers, thinkers, and community builders across northern Vancouver Island.
Zines are about connection, expression, and self-determination. They give voice to perspectives often overlooked by mainstream media. This library and workstation aims to:
Celebrate local stories and northern creativity
Support accessible, low-cost art-making
Provide a safe and welcoming place to learn, share, and make
Visit or Get Involved
Located at CVLLC’s community space on the North Island

Contributions from North Island residents and visiting makers

No experience is required—just bring your ideas, your stories, and your willingness to experiment. Sit down, plug in, and start creating. The workstation is equipped for zine-making, digital design, writing, and small-scale artistic projects. Available resources include:
Work tables, staplers, and binding tools
Printing and scanning for zines and small publications
Typewriters, magazines to deconstruct and loads of stamps
Access to Wi-Fi, power outlets, and button makers
Whether you're building your first mini-zine or working on a full publication, this space is here to support you.
